Part Descriptions
LP16963-8 Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus
D. pteronyssinus and D. farinae are the two most important house dust mites and belong to the Pyroglyphidae family. D. pteronyssinus has worldwide distribution and prefers more humid climates. It is more abundant in Europe than in America. The most important allergenic proteins in D. pteronyssinus are Der p 1 and Der p 2. 80% of mite-sensitive patients display IgE antibodies to Der p 1 and Der p 2. Other mites in the Pyroglyphidae family share allergenic determinants with Dermatophagoides mites and are highly cross-reactive. House dust mites may cause the following symptoms in allergic patients: perennial-type asthma, rhinitis, and conjunctivitis, often with nocturnal or early morning episodes. D. pteronyssinus can also act as a trigger factor for atopic dermatitis in sensitive patients.

LP32397-9 Ab.IgG4
IgG4 is the least common subtype of IgG, and it has a variety of functions. In the context of allergic disease it is thought to have an immune-inhibitory role in preventing anaphylaxis and is commonly known as a "blocking" antibody. IgG4 binding to an allergen can compete with IgE-mediated binding, thereby inhibiting the activation of mast cells and basophils and IgE-mediated presentation to T-cells. Measuring IgG4 and its ratio to IgE has a role in monitoring allergen specific immunotherapy PMID: 26023323. IgG4 is also thought to have a role in autoimmunity and be involved in a less defined entity known as IgG4-Related Disease, a chronic immune-mediated fibroinflammatory disorder that often manifests with tumor-like masses .[https://www.merckmanuals.com/professional/musculoskeletal-and-connective-tissue-disorders/igg4-related-disease/igg4-related-disease]
