Part Description
LP172635-7 Bacteria producing hippuricase
Hippurate tests are qualitative assays used for determining the ability of bacteria to enzymatically hydrolyze sodium hippurate. Testing is performed to assist in identification of Gardnerella vaginalis, Campylobacter jejuni, Listeria monocytogenes and group B streptococci. For example, the hippurate test may be used to differentiate bovine haemolytic Group B Streptococcus from human -haemolytic Group B Streptococcus.
