Term Description

This test measures the isoleucine level in patients who have been diagnosed with maple syrup urine disease are on a therapeutic diet for their condition. Depending on the lab, the isoleucine level may be used in combination with levels of other amino acids such as leucine, alloisoleucine, and valine to monitor the patient's progress.
