Carcinosarcomas are rare malignant tumors that can present in various organs, including the skin, lungs, pancreas, colon, uterus and ovaries. They are composed of a mixture of carcinoma (epithelial) and sarcoma (connective tissue). This term is used along with [LOINC: 98391-6] to report the percentage of epithelial and sarcomatous components in the carcinosarcoma.
