Term Description

The Checklist of Nonverbal Pain Indicators (CNPI) evaluates six pain behaviors in patients with cognitive impairment. PMID: 11706452 Each pain behavior is scored as 0 (absent) or 1 (present) both during patient movement and while at rest. Higher scores are associated with greater pain.
