Campylobacter sp DNA.diarrheagenic
Active
Description
This code is created for a PCR designed to detect campylobacter species associated with diarrhea in humans versus other Campylobacter species. The probes for this original test amplify a portion of the 16s rRNA gene (16s DNA) and theoretically detects all of the following: C. coli, C. helveticus, C. hyointestinal, C. jejuni, C. lari, C. upsaliensis, C. avium, C. Canadensis, C. cuniculorum, C. insulaenigrae, C. lanienae, C. peloridis, C. subantarcticus, and C. volucris. The PCR does not detect C. concisus, C. curvus, C. gracilis, C. hominis, C. rectus, C. showae, C. fetus, C. mucosalis, C. sputorum, and C. ureolyticus. Source: Regenstrief LOINC
