Saltgrass is, within its specialised saline and alkali environments, widely distributed across the western United States and Canada: from Saskatchewan to eastern Washington, and south to California, Texas, and Mexico.
Salt grass pollen can induce asthma, allergic rhinitis and allergic conjunctivitis.
