Description
Allo-Pregnanediolone (allo-PDL, Mw=334,5, systematic name: 5-alpha-pregnan-3-alpha,17-alpha-diol-20-one) may be found in steroid analysis in urine and, among other steroids, is an important marker in the urinary steroid excretion profile for the occurrence of an adrenal 21-hydroxylase-deficiency. Its concentration is also an indication for the effectiveness of medication, such as cortisol supplementation, against this disease.
