Dopamine receptor D1
Active
Description
Dopamine receptor D1 (DRD1) is a subtype of the dopamine receptor. DRD1 antibodies bind to D1 receptors on neuronal cells and affect dopaminergic neurotransmission PMCID: PMC3779221. Elevated levels of DRD1 antibody have been linked to an immune response to a group A streptococcus infection, which has been implicated in tic disorder and neuropsychiatric abnormalities, although this is controversial.
