Active
Description
The filtration fraction (FF) is the ratio of the glomerular filtration rate (GFR) to the renal plasma flow (RPF) and represents the fraction of plasma perfusing the kidneys that is filtered. Under normal conditions, the filtration fraction is about 20%. The FF can help interpret GFR changes in the context of factors affecting blood flow to the kidneys, such as congestive heart failure PMID: 29489242. Source: Regenstrief LOINC
