Term Description
The IEEE 11073 Standards Committee does not distinguish between measures of gas concentration reported as partial pressure and volume percent because they can be converted from one to the other under the law of gases. To make it clear that these could be reported either way, LOINC presents the property for these terms as both a volume fraction and a partial pressure (VFr/PPres), with corresponding units of %{vol} and mm[Hg], respectively.

Nitrous oxide is an inorganic inhaled anesthetic. It has the fastest onset among inhalation agents but is the least potent and therefore often requires more than 1 minimum alveolar concentration (MAC). The dosage of nitrous oxide being administered is set and monitored throughout general anesthesia. PMID: 19108597
